Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Coordinator.

The Research Coordinator will work in the Division of Comparative Effectiveness and Decision Science in the Department of Population Health, to provide research and administrative support to a mathematical modeling team specializing in modeling some of the worlds highest-burden infectious diseases (HIV, malaria, COVID-19, TB), co-occurring non-communicable health conditions such as mental disorders, and related research areas. This is a dynamic position contributing to the research portfolio of the Principal Investigator, Anna Bershteyn, PhD.
A successful applicant will be able to work independently with diverse colleagues and staff at all levels, and comfortable in the academic medical center environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform literature reviews and data synthesis in support of modeling aims.
- Update and maintain databases, facilitate regular data checking and quality assurance, and assist with data analysis.
- Assist in organizing stakeholder workshops and meetings, maintain detailed meeting minutes, and follow-up on action items.
- Assist with management of study regulatory tasks, such as preparation of materials for Institutional Review Board and data safety monitoring.
- Assist with manuscript and presentation preparation and submission.
- Assist the team in daily administrative operations, including meeting scheduling, vendor onboarding, issuing and tracking of payments, and processing staff reimbursements, and other administrative tasks as requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in life sciences, allied health or equivalent in a related discipline and 0-1 years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Must be able to work under the direction of supervision. Ability to operate research related equipment. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in public health, psychology, business administration, health care administration or related field.
Minimum of two years of project coordination experience, preferably in public health or medical research setting.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and at least one programming language for data manipulation and statistical computing (e.g., R, STATA).
Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with management and work and communicate effectively with both internal and external partners. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.
Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.
Time management skills and ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
Experience with literature review and data synthesis, data collection and analysis.
Topic familiarity with HIV, COVID-19, TB, malaria, mental health, or health economic evaluation.
Proficiency in data collection and management software (e.g., REDCap).
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,500.00 - $60,840.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
