Property Claims Specialist


Sunrise Claims is a dynamic third party administrator (TPA) geared toward providing best-in-class claims service for carrier partners and their customers. This position entails the desk handling of property claims, with a geographic focus in the Southeast. The losses leading to insurance claims often create stress for policyholders—our mission is to treat customers with respect, patience, and empathy, while guiding claims to timely and fair resolutions. Responsibilities & Duties

Responsible for all aspects of claims desk handling, including:


  • Claims intake and action planning
  • Contacts/communications with customers and other relevant parties
  • Investigation
  • Coverage analysis
  • Reserving
  • Diary and Follow Up
  • Evaluation
  • Resolution
  • Reporting to carrier partners

Education & Experience

  • 5+ years of property and /or liability (homeowners) claims handling experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Relevant work experience may substitute for degree requirement. High School Diploma required.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in claims handling.
  • Computer proficiency and the ability to use applicable software.
  • Adjuster licensing is required in applicable states.
  • Virtual adjustment/estimating experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with Lloyd’s syndicates is a plus.

Physical Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the physical ability to satisfactorily perform each essential function. Specific abilities include:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to repetitively use fingers and hands
  • Ability to look at and read computer monitors for extended periods
